The southern part of India called South India, covering states of Andhra Pardesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The region of South India also known as Dravida as is used in National Anthem of India. A majority of South Indians speaks Dravidian language: Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Other languages speaks in South India is English and Hindi.

Apart from the English name South India, southern part of India has been known by several other historical names. Adi Shankara invented the name Dravida in 8th century as he called himself Dravida Shishu (Dravida Child) means Child of South India. The term Deccan, and Anglicized from of the word Dakshina meaning south refers only the area covered by Deccan Plateau. The Deccan Plateau is a volcanic plateau that covers most of peninsular India excluding the costal area.

Day -1, Arrive Bangalore station – Tirupati (265 km / approx 5 h 30 min drive)

 Pickup from Bangalore Railway Station. Then drive to Tirupati. On arrival check in to hotel. After lunch visit to the  Lord Balaji Darshan and overnight stay at Tirupati.

Day – 2, Tirupati – Bangalore (265 km / approx 5 h 30 min drive)

After breakfast drive to Bangalore. En route visit kanchi, Kalahasti and papanashini. On arrival check in to hotel. After lunch visit to the Lal Bagh, Bannerghatta National Park, Uissor Lake,Bull Temple,Big Banayan Tree. Then back to hotel & Overnight stay at Bangalore.

Day – 3, Bangalore – Mysore (155 km / approx 3 h 50 min drive)

After breakfast drive to Mysore. En route visit Srirangapatna,Dariya Daulat Bagh, Gumbaz, Tippu Fort and Temple. On arrival check in to hotel. Evening proceed to Brindavan Garden. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day – 4, Mysore Sightseeing

After breakfast visit to the  Maharaja’s Palace, Chamundi Hill, Big Bull, St. Philomena’s Church, Jagan Mohan Palace (Art Gallery) and Zoo. Back to the hotel &  Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day – 5, MysoreOoty (150 km / approx 3 h 40 min drive)

After breakfast drive to Ooty. On arrival check in to hotel. After lunch visit to the Ooty lake, Botanical Garden. Overnight stay at Ooty.

Day -6, Ooty Sightseeing

After breakfast visit to Coonoor Sightseeing, Sim’s Park, Lam’s Rock, Dolphin Nose and Tea factory and Doddabetta Peak. Overnight stay at Ooty

Day – 7, Ooty – Bangalore (290 km / approx 6 hour drive)

After Breakfast drop to Bangalore Railway Station.

Pick up from Chennai Railway Station & transfer to Pondichery , check in to the hotel. After lunch visit  Shri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, Chunnambar Back water Boating, Bharati Park. Evening visit  Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple. Overnight stay at Pondichery.

Day-2, Pondicherry – Rameswaram (445 km / approx 8 h 10 min drive)

After Breakfast drive to Rameswaram and overnight stay at Rameswaram.

Day-3, Rameswaram – Kanyakumari (315 km / approx 5 h 50 min drive)

After Breakfast visit Brihadeeswarar Temple, Ramanathaswamy temple Rameswaram, Beach, and transfer to Kanyakumari .Arrive & check in to the hotel. Overniht stay at Kanyakumari.

Day-4, Kanyakumari Sightseeing

After Breakfast visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue. Then back to hotel. Afternoon visit view sun set and Evening visit Kumari Amman Temple. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.

Day-5, Kanyakumari – Madurai (255 km / approx 4 h 20 min drive)

After breakfast drive to Madurai .Arrive & check in to the hotel. After lunch visit Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace and Meenakshi Amman Temple.Overnight stay at Madurai.

Day-6, Madurai – Kodaikanal (125 km / approx 3 h 40 min drive)

After Breakfast drive to Kodaikanal & check in to the hotel. After lunch  visit Coakers Walk, Green Valley View, Pillar rock, Pine Forest. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal.

Day-7, Kodaikanal – Chennai Railway Station drop (535 km / approx 10 h drive)

After Breakfast drop to Chennai Railway Station.
